Right here is my Critical Reflection Questions

Finale of the Music Video Arc!

Image
Finally, countless days of working from this past week, I've finally succeeded in finishing this music video project. In my opinion, I think that the video came out decently well, not too bad but also could be a lot better. If I were to be able to change anything, then it would be mostly the editing style of the video and also the portrait of the video. It was way more rough to edit this time, due to my group not being able to record together most of the time. Jibril was one of the actors but was sick for about a week and could only record a video of himself and not with us, so the editing process took more time to add Jibril in scenes. Some parts of the video had a vertical portrait and it was too late to re-record any of the scenes (mostly because the fair had closed once I realized) and so I coped and just left it as it was. Even though there were some minor problems, It was still very fun to record these scenes and create my very own music video. All the mistakes made during

The clock is ticking, must edit quicker!

The time is ticking and going by fast, but I am so close to finishing this project. It took time to get all the scenes necessary and also motivation to not procrastinate and now, I am here. During my first time editing, I was about 40% completed with most of the work done by cutting and muting. Now, however, editing will have to be different moving on, more specific parts needing necessary editing. My group has done a great job during this project and now I must as well in order to get this project done. When I logged onto my editor, the first thing I did was go to the clips I added the other day and mute them. I had realized that they needed to be muted in order for the music to be heard and also for the video to work. I then added the new files I needed to still edit, mainly the last scenes of the video. I went to my google drive where all of the music video's save files are at and exported them to the editor. For a scene after the fair, I added lighting effects to make it a bit

Time to put the scenes together!

It's been around a week since I've finished recording most of the necessary scenes needed for the music video. I would have to go camping in the weekend before the due date so I need to work hard and finish this video early. I've worked hard to get my other assignments be done in time so that I could be able to go with my family to the camp. The program I used for editing for the project is the same as my last project, Shotcut. Shotcut is one of my most used apps for me because it is the program that I mostly used to edit a lot of my videos. Before editing anything at all, I first must import my video files into my computer files. Once I was able to move all the video clips to my laptop, I then started the new file in Shotcut in which I would start off by adding the first scenes in the music videos. I had to look online for the beginning scenes because there were many templates of time-lapse videos of clocks and cars through the city. Once I had downloaded these, I then put

First a Fair, Now a Park???

What a relaxing Thanksgiving break, it felt as if I were in heaven, feeling so comfy on my bed and laying down nice. But, as always, all good things must come to an end, and so, Thanksgiving break was quickly over. It was great to have time to relax a bit from school, but now, I have to work my butt out during filming in the next coming days, I told myself. So, during the next weekend that came by, I worked on the remaining scenes that needed to be recorded. The scenes needed to be recorded had to be filmed at a park, so I had to ride my bike from my house to the park since my parents were not home that day. I was also alone for this time so I needed to also bring a camera stick that could be able to angle the scenes of the video. The first scene I had done was the opening scene, in which I would enter the video by riding my bike forward. Oh boy, let me tell you, this took way longer that I expected, I counted at least 6 takes til I got a scene that I had rather the most. I was kind of

Time to work, at a Fair????

It was now the time for me and the others in my group to film the scenes for the music video. Although, there was a tiny problem during this time, Thanksgiving break. Because of Thanksgiving break, it would mean that most of my group and I won't be able to interact with each other and means that filming would have to be done separately for a bit of time. I had thought of a scene which included me going on a Ferris Wheel because of my schedule to go to the Broward County Fair this break. Max was able to go to the fair with me and take all the filming scenes needed. The first scene that was filmed at the fair was the beginning of the entrance to the fair. It was somewhat of a pan shot/side shot in which I was facing the entrance to the big fair. The first take was messed up due to the lighting of the background being too dark but was then later fixed. The next take was a great shot that was able to get the scene correct and what I was looking for. The next scene that was filmed w
