Planning for my Zephyrhills commercial

 

Props: Me and my group are making a Zephyrhills commercial so the props we will use are a Zephyrhills bottle and a Dasani bottle (the rival brand). Costumes: Max is going to be in an athletic costume since he will be running on the track, Jibril will be wearing all white since he will be playing God. Schedule:
  • Research on Zephyrhills commercials and advertisements –September 22 th
  • Our group will plan the story and plan how we will film the commercial –September 22th
  • Our group creates the storyboard –September 28th
  • Our group will film the commercial –October 8th
  • Our group will edit and add finishing touches to the commercial - Sometime after October 9th Location: Our main location is on the track and field. At the track and field, we are going to film our two actors completing the scenes. Since the sun is shining straight on to the track it will be hot, and water would be good for the commercial. Our second location is the stairwell near the media center. We will only use this as a backup in case it is raining. Backup plan: If the weather is not good then we will film on the stairwell near the media center. If one of the members is absent, then we will skip one of the parts of the script.

Commercial SET!!!

Well, I’ve done it, I’ve finally finished the commercial, along with the help of my group mates.   This was  my first project where I could be creative in my editing skills, adding lots of effects to a commercial.  It took a good chunk of time  and was a bit difficult   to get the scenes and edit the  commercial well enough to be called a commercial. I had fun recording all the scenes my group done, laughing at each mistake we did from each take. I really like how the commercial came out, It looks almost exactly as like me and the other's had thought of making. The hardest part of this project was angling the camera to best put the scene in a good view and also the barrage of people in the background doing their own scenes as well. Editing-wise, it took a good amount of work to make it the most time necessary for the length and I was also able to learn new things like fading in pictures during a video clip. Editing the first sections!

 Previously, I was able to produce some scenes necessary for the film alone due to my group being unavailable at the time. With the help of my sister, we were able to produce scenes that included the protagonist alone and also scenes that required editing processes. While driving back home after the recordings, I was constantly thinking as to how I would edit each scene, what needed to be modified and what effects would need to be added. As we got home, I jumped off my sister's car and quickly went to my room to retrieve the scenes onto my laptop and search for editing effects required to make the sequence pop out. The main source I used to find some edits that would help this sequence was in YouTube. The first thing I was looking for were some fire effects that could be used for a type of explosion. Time to work, at a Fair????

  It was now the time for me and the others in my group to film the scenes for the music video. Although, there was a tiny problem during this time, Thanksgiving break. Because of Thanksgiving break, it would mean that most of my group and I won't be able to interact with each other and means that filming would have to be done separately for a bit of time. I had thought of a scene which included me going on a Ferris Wheel because of my schedule to go to the Broward County Fair this break. Max was able to go to the fair with me and take all the filming scenes needed. The first scene that was filmed at the fair was the beginning of the entrance to the fair. It was somewhat of a pan shot/side shot in which I was facing the entrance to the big fair. The first take was messed up due to the lighting of the background being too dark but was then later fixed.
