Editing Blog: Effects and Music!
October 8th, this was the second day we had to edit our commercial. Today, however, I was not able to be present in class due to my doctor's appointment. I had messaged the group chat with my groupmates to let them know that I will edit the scenes when I return home and add the effects. Once I had return home, I logged on my laptop and started to work on the project.
To start off, I went online to go and download some background music to play during the commercial. There has to be some form of music running in order for the commercial to not stay stale and just be scenes. I next needed to download a specific music audio to play in the "God" scene. Earlier, the group had wanted to play a grand type of audio for the "God" scene, and so, I had decided that the commercial should play the Halo music. The Halo music gave a grand vibe when heard, sounding like the voices of church singers with their beautiful voices.
Now that I mostly downloaded the music files, I then needed to get some background effects that can make the commercial pop out more. For example, the "God" scene needed to have a bright and heavenly feel to it so that it actually feels like god in the flesh. I'm thinking of using a background that has lights from the sun that shine bright when god appears. It took me awhile, but after 30 minutes, I finally found the effects and background that I had wanted to use. I then had to perfectly angle the brightness level and background to keep Jibril on the main screen while also looking like god.
Another scene that I may have to edit is the transition of Max looking up to the sky to see "God". I want to try and add Jibril in some way into the sky to make it look as if "God" has come to send Max a message and gift. I may just have to edit out a picture from the scene that he took and then place it on the sky with a decent blend to the background.
The last scene is the hardest part for me to edit. It is the hardest for me because I will have to add the Zephyrhills logo to fade in the video. I have never done a fade in with a logo before, let alone without it being on the scene, so this is going to have some time for work. I started to search up which logo and bottle of Zephyrhills I'd like to use to show why Zephyrhills should be the best choice for the viewer. This is where my editing progress has to end because I was pretty tired after trying to figure out how to fade in the items in the scene.
this has been my editing blog, thank you!
